B2B Website Audit Checklist: Is Your Digital Infrastructure Ready for H2 2026?
We are halfway through 2026. Before your H2 growth initiatives start, run this diagnostic on your digital presence. These are the 8 questions we ask every B2B client before we begin any engagement — because the answers determine whether growth initiatives will work or leak.
Question 1: Can a New Visitor Understand What You Do in 8 Seconds?
Test it: open your homepage on a phone you have never used it on. Time yourself. If you are still reading after 8 seconds, your hero section needs a rewrite. Enterprise buyers make their initial assessment in under 8 seconds. If your value proposition is not immediately clear, the rest of your website is irrelevant.
The most common failure: a headline that describes your company (“We are a leading digital agency”) instead of the outcome you deliver (“We build B2B platforms that generate qualified leads for Fintech and Real Estate companies”).
Question 2: What Was Your Website Lead-to-Meeting Conversion Rate in H1?
If you do not have this number, you do not have visibility. You cannot optimise what you cannot measure. The average B2B website converts between 1% and 3% of visitors into leads. High-performing B2B websites convert between 3% and 5%. If you do not know your number, the first step is not optimisation — it is measurement.
Question 3: When Did You Last Test Your Contact Form?
Broken contact forms are more common than you think. We have audited B2B websites where the primary CTA had been silently failing for 3 months — sending a success message to the visitor while delivering nothing to the sales team. Test every form on your website today. On desktop and on mobile. On Chrome and on Safari.
Question 4: Is Your Website Faster Than It Was 6 Months Ago?
Page speed is not a set-and-forget metric. It degrades as plugins accumulate, images are uploaded without compression, and third-party scripts are added without review. A website that scored 90 on PageSpeed Insights at launch may score 65 today — and that difference has a direct impact on both search rankings and conversion rates.

Question 5: Does Your Website Reflect Your Current Positioning?
If your company has pivoted, expanded services, or repositioned in 2026, does your website say that? Enterprise buyers will be confused by the mismatch between what your sales team says in a meeting and what your website communicates. The website is always the reference point — it is where buyers go to verify what they heard.
Question 6: Is Your CRM Connected to Your Website?
Every lead submitted through your website should arrive in your CRM automatically — tagged with source, campaign, and page visited, scored based on behavior, and routed to the right person within 60 seconds. If any part of that process involves a human manually copying data from an email into a spreadsheet, you have a system problem that no amount of marketing spend will fix.
Question 7: Do You Have Case Studies With Measurable Results?
Not testimonials. Structured case studies with specific outcomes: the client’s problem, your approach, and the measurable result. If your most recent case study is more than 12 months old, it is no longer doing the trust-building work you need it to do. Enterprise buyers want to see recent, relevant proof — not historical evidence from a previous version of your company.
Question 8: Is Your Website Compliant?
GDPR notice, SSL certificate, cookie consent, privacy policy link — visible and functional. For B2B companies selling into enterprise accounts, compliance visibility is a procurement requirement. A website that fails a basic compliance check will not make it through enterprise vendor qualification regardless of the quality of the product or service behind it.

If you answered yes to 4 to 6: you will grow but leave revenue on the table. Prioritise the questions you answered no to before increasing any marketing spend.
If you answered yes to 3 or fewer: your website is actively slowing your growth. Every pound, euro, or dollar you spend on marketing is being partially wasted by a digital infrastructure that cannot convert the traffic it receives.
If you answered no to 3 or more of these questions, contact Maskwel Holdings for a free B2B website audit. We will review your platform against all 8 criteria and deliver a prioritised action plan within 48 hours.
